2025 FVCF Rules

Warning: Please register all Out-Of-Area Birds as early as possible and don't attempt to settle these birds to avoid rejection!

  • $125 Per Bird or $500 for 5 Birds
  • This event is OPEN to all Greater Valley Combine members. (Final shipping will be at FVC).
  • Out of Area Breeders can use their own Bands and choose their handlers.
  • FVC handlers need to use the special FVCF Bands to participate. (GVC Handlers need to use FVCF Bands).
  • Handlers can only handle a maximum of 150 birds per location.
  • Handlers are allowed to fly their birds.
  • Out Of Area Birds will be shipped directly to the Race Committee - No Exceptions!
  • Download the form here, sign it, and ship it together with your entries. See the shipping address below.
  • Checks payable to Fernando Valley Club.
  • Accepting Birds from Feb 15, 2025, to June 30th, 2025.
  • The final race will be on the 400-mile station (Williams via 99 Freeway Northern California) and only Futurity Birds will be shipped. This race will be after the 5th Race of the season following Modesto 280 Miles.
  • Handlers have the option to ship Futurity birds during the regular season for free (5) (Training series) if using Race B (Combine release) - Race B will be liberated 1st, Race A will go 30 minutes after and follow FVC limit rule of 50 birds max. UPDATE: COMBINE MEETING-(This rule has been amended to reflect the combine rules, and the vote on unlimited shipping for the Combine will take effect)..
  • (There will be an optional second 400-mile race after this futurity for a fee.)
  • If all prizes are not filled after knock-off, the remaining prizes will be split equally among the birds clocked.
  • Note: The race is OPEN until all prizes are filled or up to 2 days. Knock-Off Time is 2nd day at 3 pm.
  • Split: 50% Breeder – 50% Handler
  • Birds belong to the breeder unless a prior arrangement has been made with the handler. The breeder pays for all the shipping costs.
  • Any unclaimed birds 7 days after the final race become the property of the handler.
  • The committee retains the right to request winning birds to be released in front of the loft as part of the verification process.
  • Bring the top 3 birds to Knockoff.
  • A trophy will be awarded to the Handler and Plaque for the Breeder of the overall winner.
  • All winners will be paid within 14 days after the RACE is official. Note: The FVC Committee will retain 15% for expenses.
  • The FVC Race committee retains the right to inspect all participating birds and disqualify birds that look suspicious - for example when bands look altered.
  • Bands must be AU-sanctioned. They may also include IF, CU, ATB, NBRC, IPB, or personal bands if they are approved by the AU.
  • The FVC Race committee retains the right to approve or refuse any participant in the race.
  • Any unforeseen issues will be resolved by the race committee, and the FVC Board.
  • FVCF Race Committee WILL FOLLOW FVC and AU RACE RULES. (NO EXCEPTION)
  • By sending in your entries, participants acknowledged and agreed to the above rules, processes, and procedures.
  • Mandatory inventory list 2 weeks before the final race - If not provided 20% will be removed from handlers’ winnings.

Acknowledgment and Agreement: The signatory hereto (the 'Signatory') expressly acknowledges, agrees, and adheres to the rules, processes, and procedures of the 2025 FVC Futurity Race.
